We are fortunate to now have dedicated time in our day to devote to science. Having STEM building kits will allow students to conduct experiments and become problem-solvers, allowing them to think outside the box. Independent reading time is part of our everyday routine and my students' reading skills span a broad spectrum. It is important for my beginning readers to have access to books at their level to improve their confidence and promote a love of reading. Art is another opportunity for self-expression that I believe is important for developing minds. We often have opportunities to get creative with our depictions of learned content, and painting is an all-time favorite.
