We will be able to work with students one on one and in small groups to solidify understanding of these foundational skills using these manipulatives. The games give students a tactile way to explore and develop understanding, Addition and subtraction are foundational skills and are often understood in isolation, but these games will give a context for students to work within to apply the learning. Using the counters and the cards to the sequence will promote problem-solving. It is beneficial for students to actually hold and manipulate to gain understanding. Students will also be motivated and eager to start learning.
