As you can imagine, my preschoolers have short attention spans. In order to sustain their attention, there can't be any lag time. When I am teaching from home, I just have my laptop. With one screen there is always lag time because I have to move pictures and documents around on my screen. For example, while reading a story on the screen, the students' pictures lay on top of the pages in the book. Therefore, while I read the story, I have to move their pictures around on the screen to be able to see and read all of the words on the page. It takes away from the energy of the story but I don't want to minimize their pictures because I need to see if they are paying attention. It would be amazing to have a screen that I share with the kids and a screen that I can have their pictures on. Then I can see the whole class and see the activity that we are working on.
