The literacy books in my classroom will engage my students in my math lessons. Because they all acquire different forms of interpreting text, I want to add the joy of literature and enhance their abilities to translate the text into mathematical concepts. My goal is to target both math and reading in real world connections through literature in order to facilitate their comprehension. I strongly believe that by using literacy books, my students will be more engaged and able to synthesize and create mathematical problems. In turn, these problems will be meaningful to them, and the connections made will register in their minds for the long time.
