Our goal is to give students the opportunity to develop their creativity and to build their vocabulary as they design, paint, and craft. We want to stimulate imagination! Art has been proven to be an important catalyst in learning, discovery, and achievement. By providing students with paints, play dough, and other supplies, we will open up a world of creativity and possibility. We will encourage students to create, design, and build projects that will stimulate their math, science, and engineering skills. As they work and once their projects are complete, they will be able to build on their oral language skills by describing what they are doing and then presenting projects to their classmates. Providing students with hands-on, engaging, interactive materials will spark their desire to not only attend school, but to work harder towards their goals. Art will provide students a perfect outlet and occasion for speaking, using math and science, and engaging with others.
