Our school is fortunate enough to have technology in every classroom. Being a 3rd/4th grade teacher my students need to take the MCAS state testing at the end of the school year and it has become all computer based. Luckily we have Chromebooks for daily use, the problem is storage. I am thankful to have technology, but not having a safe and organized place to store them is becoming a problem. Currently the students place them in file folder organizers and the cords are constantly getting tangled. By donating to our project, you will not only help to keep our classroom organized, but you will help to create a safer learning environment. The cords getting tangled can be a fire hazard and as much as I try to keep it neat and organized, it continues to be a problem. The kids do a great job or making sure they are charging at night, but let's face it - they're kids! At the end of the day they don't want to untangle 12 cords, they want to play outside and I surely don't have extra time to do that. This will also show them the importance of taking care of classroom materials. The use of technology in the classroom has made a big impact on my student's success and I want to continue that by keeping our materials in mint condition!
