My students excel at all things digital. From hand held devices to laptops to big flat screen TVs. They have lots of exposure to screens of all shapes and sizes. But, what they lack is experience with classical literature. I want to expose them to two of my favorites, Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott and Treasure Island, by Robert Lewis Stevenson. These books will hopefully springboard them into wanting to read other classics, which will help them engage with a variety of people and understand references they would not have had without this exposure. My students deserve the best chance at the richest life we can give them. With the exposure to these great works of literature I think they will be well on their way!
