The materials that I am requesting are to enhance our already innovative learning environment. We are creating Self-Directed Learners by giving students a voice in what they learn and how. Teaching them the skills to become the type of learners that can make a goal and a plan that will help them achieve it. Personalized learning is not just about choice but also about making sure that students are in a comfortable environment. Flexible seating will allow students another chance to make a choice that will enhance their learning. It will also provide the students with different places for students to collaborate with one another without distracting others. The use of big joe chairs and lap desks allow the students to move away from the traditional desks and to a more creative environment. The saucer chairs and adjustable trays will allow students to have conferences. By contributing to this project you will be helping to make students that work on a computer the majority of the day a chance to have a comfortable work environment. The students of my class are striving to be the future of this country and these seating options will give even more freedom of choice.
