In my AP Literature classroom, students engage with some of the most powerful and challenging works in American literature. One of the most important novels we study is Beloved by Toni Morrison. Unfortunately, our school library currently has only 10 copies of this novel, while I have 18 students enrolled in my AP Literature class this year. Having a full classroom set of Beloved would allow every student to have their own copy to read, annotate, and analyze. My goal is to create a classroom where students can dive deeply into literature and develop the critical thinking and analytical skills they will carry with them into college and beyond. With your support, every student will have the opportunity to fully experience this powerful novel and the important conversations it inspires.
