I want my students to be able to learn as much as they can throughout the year and to be able to do that, they need those basic components that not only make learning easier but also fun at the same time. When each student has his/her own whiteboard or marker, it allows for individual work and allows that student to give their own answers without feeling like anyone "copied" them, from anywhere in the classroom. By having the double-sided whiteboards, students are not only giving their own answers but also learning to write correctly because the one side of the whiteboard is lined. Writing is an important part of life so starting early is essential. The individual clocks and math building skills sets will be a great help when learning about time and other math concepts. I believe you learn better by being hands-on, so with each student having his/her own clock to manipulate and the math sets to use, it will assist in that learning. Besides doing a lot of learning, we have to be organized. The management and direction sets will help us stay on task and therefore allow us to use our time most efficiently. All of these basic tools will improve our learning experiences and ultimately make us smarter learners!
