The arts are a great way to encourage attendance and engagement in school. Many students have been learning online and I would like to offer many opportunities for students to re-engage in tactile art making. Creating art is also a great way for students to learn to be creative, which is an essential 21st century skill. I will use the air dry clay to give students a more tactile experience of making art. I would like them to have enthusiasm about what they are doing at school and sometimes a change of material from traditional pen and paper is a fun surprise. I would use the stencils to promote the idea that anyone can make art. Sometimes students get stuck and by tracing a stencil, it can allow them to build creativity without fear of doing something wrong. I will use the other items to enhance student learning, promote creativity and incentivize students to attend regularly. The items I have selected are highly valued by young artists and will encourage them to excel.
