Dear Reader, My students are wonderful, bright sixths graders and Benjamin Franklin Elementary where I teach Language Arts and Science. As I got to know my kids, I found out that I had many artists in my language arts groups. When they asked me to help them start an after school art club - I could not refuse. Today was our first art club meeting. We have big plans - we want to beautify the school starting with doing art on huge electrical enclosures. We also want to put together an art show and an art website. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment in which my artists can create, learn, and expand their artistic horizons.
