The materials that I am requesting will help supplement the art education of my students. They will get the chance to explore texture by using a variety of texture plates. This will help that unit to be more concrete since they will be able to see the texture, feel it, and be able to use it in their art. The students who finish activities before their peers will still be able to broaden their art horizons by exploring building. They will be able to use LEGO bricks to create their own three-dimensional art. This will help them to continue to think outside the box and give more opportunities to both create and collaborate with other students. Adding the books by Eric Carle to our art library will help students to incorporate reading into their art time. It will be a good example for students of an art job. It will help reinforce the idea of creating a story through your artwork. It will also give students opportunities to read and look at the art when they have finished a project or need inspiration.
