Having a microscope with an easy view screen will help students make observations of the things around them. They will be able to compare their observations and discuss with their peers. Giving students an early start in science will help them build a foundation in problem solving, questioning, and proper use of science tools. Providing students with various slides will reach every child's curiosity and encourage higher level questions about our world, life, and how things work. Once we have this microscope and slides, we will be able to easily make observations on everything we encounter, whether it be a pine cone from the playground, a slide from the kit, or the sticky stuff found on our scissors.
