I am the librarian for the STEAM Academy and Gifted Center in North St. Louis County, Missouri. My school was created just this past year to enhance the learning opportunities for Gifted middle school students. We are pioneering the charge for better Gifted education by offering a STEAM centered curriculum that is taught with a Project Based Learning approach. Our students learn to solve real world problems and then present their solutions to the community in an authentic way. My role as the librarian is to make sure they have as many resources as possible to make their projects a success.
