I teach the "Library and Digital Information Literacy Skills" to all our students Pre-K through 5th Grade. Everyday, we make sure to read appropriate books in the library. After reading, we share with our partner. We do book talks and book reviews. We also read digital books using our iPads and and make research using both digital and printed format. At the end of the class, students are choosing at least 4 books of their interest from the shelves to check out and bring it to the classroom and home. Students love to read and get so eager and excited to choose books as long as they are free to choose the books that they are interested to read. As a librarian - teacher, I will always make sure that they get the books that they have always wanted to read and provide the titles that they are requesting that we don't have in the shelves.
