These leveled readers will provide me with materials to differentiate instruction. Learning will be enhanced because I will be able to match student characteristics to instruction and assessment. Using differentiated instruction will allow all students to access the same classroom curriculum by providing entry points, learning tasks, and outcomes that are tailored to their specific needs. Using this instructional approach, I can incorporate a variety of strategies into my small group lessons. I will be able to tap into their skill levels and background knowledge and build on what they already know. When a child feels successful, they are more willing to work towards the goals set in front of them.
