Our students have very little to call their own, other than their endless creativity. This new year, I really want to give them spaces to claim as their work centers. A good rug, storage unit, and maps to share with a partner will allow a class culture of personal responsibility. By having a spot to store their things, students will have a space of their own and a better sense of personal responsibility in the classroom. With a rug to read on during free time, students have liberty to learn comfortably. Personal materials encourage students to achieve in their classroom.
