The Madera Outdoor Classroom ~Connecting community to nature, ecological stewardship and healthy life choices~ The Madera Outdoor Classroom was created to make a difference in the lives of the children and community alike. Set within a K-6 elementary school the Garden’s environment helps to foster and prepare our children to be global ecological stewards, equipped to address the challenges of climate change and scarce resources with optimism. Empowering children to be change-makers, the Outdoor Classroom showcases how small local changes can be the most powerful and emphasizes the importance of how personal health and the health of the planet go hand-in-hand.
