I teach ELA and Social Studies in a blended learning format. My super second grade consists of two classrooms. My homeroom consists of 27 students (18 boys and 9 girls). My second class consists of 28 students, (14 boys and 14 girls). At the end of the day, I have 55 students come though my classroom with a smile on their face and excitement in their eyes. My school is classified as a Title I school, which means many of my students receive free or reduced price lunch. My students come from various backgrounds. My super star second graders have various academic abilities. These include students who have an IEP (Individual Education Program), ELL (English Language Learner), receive services from our Title I Math/Reading program, or who are on grade level. One thing my students have in common is how hard they work and their desire to learn and succeed.
