I will use these materials to help improve the fine motor skills of the students in my classroom. I will use the frisbees and place mats to give students a defined place to work with the other materials. I will use the tongs, chopsticks, spoons, bowls, and ice cube trays to help students work on strengthening their hands muscles by picking items up and putting them in another location. Fine motor skills are essential for students because they help students hold a pencil correctly and have good penmanship. My class will use the puzzles, toothpicks, lace cards, and mini whole punches to work their hands in different ways than they are used to. Over the years, the fine motor skills my students come with has drastically changed. Now, students come with hardly any fine motor skills. These activities and supplies will help change my students lives because they will help students learn and grow. These supplies will also make their learning fun!
