I am the Math Support and Behavior Specialist in Special Education teaching students 6th - 8th grade at a Title I school. My students represent a culturally diverse population, many with financial hardship who are faced with challenges including learning disabilities, behavior challenges, and other Health Impairments. My students have to work extremely hard to master concepts. It's so important that they have a positive environment to face these challenges. Many students arrive hungry preventing them from being able to focus. I strive to create a very positive environment and safe space for them to have an optimal learning experience.
