My kids not only like going to the dry erase board during an interactive lesson, I believe by allowing my students to have their own personal dry erase board and materials at their desk, would boost their efforts not only in participation but their efforts in using the strategy correctly skill set as well. During guided practice, the interaction and the ease of sharing, erasing and re-writing ideas are easily and quickly done. Not to mention when this type of interaction is done with different colors in which is a bonus for my elementary students. Students will be more willing to opt-in their skill learning development when using various passages with dry erase protectors and markers.
