Twenty-first century students require experiences in the classroom that will prepare them for jobs that have not even been created yet. My students come from many walks of life, some are from "way out in the country", some live "in town", many come from bilingual families, and most of them (85%) are recipients of free or reduced meals. But they all have one thing in common...they LOVE STEAM class! Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math may not seem like most student's favorite subjects but when you put them all together and student's get to use their brain AND their hands to try out building, coding, making, and tinkering all while learning concepts that benefit them in their other core classes, well it's a mixture they really enjoy!

About my class
