As a school district, we are focusing on literacy as a whole. By helping students master reading and comprehension skills. These books are a good start to get my students interested in reading while reinforcing math concepts, and meeting them where they are academically. The books are a combination of math content, fiction and non-fiction, in order to keep readers engaged. These books will help students improve their math skills, while addressing literary needs in order to improve reading skills. This will make a huge difference in our classroom because I only have about ten books total in my classroom library... and the students are very disappointed by this. l believe this will show them how important their education is to me and many others.
