My third graders will use the document camera to share classwork and model skills with the entire class. The document camera will enable us to view both literacy and math instruction, so we can discuss ways to master our skills. This will allow the teacher to demonstrate appropriate instruction, and decrease the number of copies and papers needed in the classroom. The document camera will increase my ability to model literacy and mathematics skills to decrease educational gaps by providing students with concrete examples.Also, students will have increased opportunities to share their learning with their peers. Lastly, the "hear myself" phones will allow struggling readers to listen to themselves read without distracting their peers, all the while monitoring their fluency.
