I have a class of 22 very eager 2nd graders. They love to learn and show me this daily. However, we are a Title 1 school, which brings challenges for these students that are out of their control. Being a Title 1 school means that the majority of our school lives at or below the poverty line. This means that they qualify for free or reduced lunch, which is a huge help. We also have many students that have meals sent home on weekends to help their families out as well. These circumstances have not kept these students from having a strong desire to learn about everything around them. In fact, I think it has made many of them desire an education that much more!

About my class
