I am a second grade teacher in the South Bronx. I teach all of the subjects to my students such as math, science, social studies, reading and writing. They enjoy read alouds the most. During my read aloud time I often read books that my students find interesting. They enjoy fiction stories such as “The Circus” and “I Want to be a Clown.” They find the animals and the clowns amusing. While I am reading, the students inform me that they have never been to the circus because their parents cannot afford it.
