My students are ready to start reading. They will get their reading book bags (with at least 10 books on their reading level). They will be able to read those 10 books in the classroom throughout the week. Once they have finished reading all 10 books for the week, they will be able to choose 3-5 of their favorite books to take home and read over the weekend. On Mondays, they must return those books to shop for 10 different books for the week. By doing this I’m expecting my students to gain confidence in their reading and with that, the fluency, understanding, and the love of reading. The books that I’m asking for is to help me build a good library to have enough books for each student.

About my class
