I have spent countless hours researching quality books for my new middle school students. As a former elementary school teacher, I have some relevant books, but I wanted to create a diverse classroom library that touches on important topics that middle school students face. I have included classic books, high interest books, and books that I thought would help create a classroom of empathetic and educated students. Something else I included in this is a book with positive affirmations. I would like to start each day with a quick class meeting. I want our class to read an inspirational quote and have volunteers discuss how it can apply to them.
