Almost all of our students have never experienced the joy and freedom of discovering nature. We plan to take a hike to Sugar Pond to study the variety of aquatic animal and plant life found there. Students will collect samples to record in their science journals, and use the Seek App to identify the genus and species of each sample collected using the nets. Once we return the wildlife to the pond and return to our classroom, students will use their notebooks and the internet to research the species they discovered and to create an Adobe Spark video to share with others.
