Because my students are so severe, there isn't a curriculum that best fits their needs. As a result, I have created a curriculum based on themes, colors, numbers, letters, community signs, holidays, and shapes to provide enrichment for these very unique students. Our school budget; however, cannot support the purchase of books to accompany my curriculum. These books will improve their school lives by appealing to all five senses in order to increase learning for all students with various learning styles. Each book purchased will serve as an example of the theme being studied. Students will then complete an activity based on the reading. I feel it is important for my students to be exposed to an array of children's books in order to advance their knowledge.
