Stress or tension balls provides support to students in the classroom as well as during individual and group counseling. Students can relieve stress and muscle tension by manipulating and squeezing these small, malleable "toys" with their hands. This approach has been effective with are those who are diagnosed with (or display characteristics of) ADD, ADHD, high anxiety, sensory processing disorders, and those who are just fidgety and otherwise might become off task in the classroom. Students also use it to take their mind off talking to a counselor. The excersice ball chair will be for students that need additional options for seating while in our office or movement while in the counseling office. It will give them an opportunity to move and fidget while speaking with the counselor.
