In my classroom, we spend our day either on the rug learning or up moving around through many different station activities. As the teacher, I would use the document camera during whole group teaching. Right now, I have a big white board and we practice our skills using the white board. As you may know, white boards are messy and it takes a ton of time to write and erase. A document camera would allow for a more visually appealing lesson as well as more student interaction during the whole group lesson. Teaching others is one of the most powerful ways to learn. The other way our document camera will be utilized is during station time. Students will be able to work with a group of peers to become the teacher and interact with others using the projector!
