Our students love to be outside play on our large field. Soccer is one of their favorite activities to participate in when they get the chance to choose. There is growing evidence that strenuous physical activity is not only healthy for students but improves their academic performance. Studies have shown that physically active students perform better academically. ( Spark People 2006) A recent study conducted by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) investigated the link between physical activity in children and academic performance in school. Initially, researchers predicted that kids who took physical education (PE) during the school day would do better academically, since it helps reduce boredom and helps kids stay focused.
