Students need positive interactions with a variety of texts to encourage them to try different books and to sample various genres. Students will partake in a Book Tasting with a beautifully set table and a tray of books. Each student will be given a menu to make notes of the selections and which one entices them the most. By making selecting a book fun, students will associate positive emotions with book selection. This activity will give every student the opportunity to find a book that they are excited about reading. Books will be pulled from the library and will be available for checkout.
