My classroom library is in need of an overhaul. In addition to the books we have at school, many of my students lack access to high-quality books at home, and finding books in Spanish can be especially challenging for families. After conducting an assessment of our classroom library, I found that it was lacking in non-fiction books and books about science. We also have a limited number of Spanish books (even though we are a dual language classroom!) and many that we do have are outdated or not very interesting to my students. This leads my students to gravitate toward English reading only which, while important, is not conducive to their simultaneous Spanish-language development. My students love to read! Please help me to get the best books into their hands.
