My students are significantly below the desired reading level for the first grade. In order to improve our literacy skills, we must practice spelling, reading and writing. These literacy centers would provide fun and easy ways for my students to create sentences, stories and practice sight words. As a first year teacher, my resources are limited to what I can afford to provide for my class. These resources would provide a great start to my collection. I know my students would enjoy working with each of these activites during centers. It will keep them entertained while I work with my guided reading groups.
