The elementary school that I work at is the 7th poorest elementary school in the largest district in my state. The rate of free and reduced lunch is 91%. Every student that enters through my classroom doors believe that they will succeed and are equal to any other student in an elementary school. Each student possesses their own drive and determination to get out of poverty and help provide the life for their future that they only dream of now. Unfortunately, these students' main concerns are where is their next meal going to come from, will they have a place to sleep tonight, and not how do I use technology to foster a solid foundation for my future. This is my job, to ignite a love and competency of learning and to use technology to increase their chances to get out of poverty and show the world that they can make it.
