I am requesting 4 Chromebooks to support individualized learning in math and reading. Students will be able to use the Chromebooks for listening to reading, and for reading assigned articles during literacy time. They will be able to research and type their papers online. During Math, students will be able to improve fact mastery through apps such as IXL and Front Row. They also will have the opportunity to review learned concepts at their own pace. In-app tutorials will provide instant feedback when students demonstrate misunderstanding of concepts. Chromebooks will help to ensure that every child is getting what s/he needs to be more successful in school. Students will have chromebooks when they need to look up something, listen to reading, work on projects, research, and for math stations. It will help them stay motivated and on task, becoming stronger learners. Practice with technology will prepare them for 21st Century careers.
