With the age of technology moving at such a rapid pace, it is essential that the students of today have every pathway possible to learn how to develop and invent the technologies of tomorrow. Our students at Roosevelt use electronics every day for translation and research, but not for learning how things actually work. With the Sphero SPRK+ robots, our students will get to engage in innovative software paired with powerful lessons. The Sphero educational resources are expansive, and will help our students increase their knowledge in science, mathematics, technology, and engineering! By using apps on their phone, students will get to program and control these tiny robots, while navigating through multiple challenges such as robotic jousting, maze running, and predetermined coding problems. Play is a powerful tool in learning, and the Sphero robots provide a rigorous challenge that our students are eager to handle. With after school activities such as a Sphero coding club, we will be able to provide valuable time to students to further enhance their skills in STEM content.
