During writing and reading time, students love to use the two rocker chairs I have. They place them anywhere in the room off to themselves, and I've seen great on task work. During read to self, no other materials are needed other than their book and these chairs. They provide more comfort than reading at a table with regular chairs. Providing more of the seating options my students are craving will promote on-task behavior while having choice. They have done so remarkably well with this flexible seating option that I want to make their wish come true with your help. I'm motivated to create this project listening to their favorite seating options. I am very excited that I came across the idea of flexible seating and the improved focus in my room is proving the research I've read. Finding this project will allow me to keep providing flexible options for students to focus and improve their learning.
