Now that we have accessible Wifi, tablets can be used in our Daily center rotations, whole group, across subject curriculum, game practice, incentives with Class Dojo, differentiated instruction, research, online tests, and go on virtual field trips. Our new Stems-Scope Science curriculum has many opportunities for students to learn through technology. Differentiated instruction can be provided for RTI practice with I-station, Raz-plus, Reading A-Z, Starfall, Reading Horizons, Brainpop, ABC Mouse, fluency, and phonics.We use Moby Max, Prodigy, and other Apps to practice math skills, Fact fluency, and support their specific learning needs. Having classroom Tablets will ensure that all students will have access to technology resource usage, even if they don't have electronic devices at home. Students will have increased practice time to revisit previously taught skills so they are not forgotten. I will also utilize Think Central for on-line assessments to prepare my kids for Second Grade online MAP Testing. Virtual field trips can be used to expose them to iconic locations right in our classrooms! We can only attend limited field trips due to no bus transportation and heavily depend upon parent approved drivers. Having this technology will empower my "Busy Bees" to learn new skills, meet academic goals, and reach each type of learner in my classroom (Visual, Kinesthetic, Auditory, Read/Write).
