Our children are hardworking, bright and very creative. Due to budget cuts our children have been deprived of art classes and supplies. Our district is a high poverty school located in one of the poorest counties in the state. Being in a rural setting many of our parents must travel to other cities to work. We have children who's parents have lost their jobs and can not buy school supplies much less art materials. We believe that art is an amazing tool to help build creativity, expand their mind while strengthening their fine motor skills. Our students should not suffer due to the poor economy. We must encourage and empower our children.
