It is a bilingual classroom in a title 1 setting. I teach wonderful students that are going through the language transition year from Spanish to English. All core subjects are taught in the same classroom setting and in whole group and small group with work stations. These students and their families have just gone through a very difficult situation with Harvey. They saw their neighborhood flooded and many families rescued by boats. The stories they share have a very innocent and simple perspective, but they non-the-less paint a very disheartening picture of the events occurred during hurricane Harvey.
