My 4th graders enter my classroom in September not knowing much about me or their classmates but leave in June as talented readers, authors, engineers, and most importantly as growing young members of society who believe they can change the world. We build a unique family through out the school year where their voices are heard and their thoughts and ideas matter. My group of students are innovative, collaborative, inquisitive, active, and eager to learn. I teach with my students in the forefront of my mind. I plan lessons and activities that I know will get their minds growing and learning. My students don't sit in rows or even in groups, they sit around the room because it's how they learn and work to their potential.
