The items my students need will help make LONG LASTING STUDENT CREATED BOOKS. Currently I have tried numerous methods to put their books together and in the end, the books end up falling apart. I know that a book binding machine and the additional materials will help keep these books in one piece. Creating books related to what we are learning is so much fun for my students! They finally get to be the author and illustrator that we have read so much about. I want my students to begin their love of literacy now! I also want to make sure that they realize just how important their voice and ideas really are no matter how young they may be. Our first book that we have just completed is called: Our Classroom Traditions Book. The pages are done and now I have to figure out how to bind it together so that it will last. I would love to be able to have my project funded so that this book (our first baby) and the many others to come, will last for a long time.
