The items listed are items that will help me help my students develop a love for reading. The book is for us to read in class, the timers are for the kids to use for their 20 minutes of nightly reading, the dry erase pockets are to use to house our weekly fluency readings, and the Smencils for to reward the students for reading. The donations for my project will help my students develop a love for reading and hopefully become life long learners. My goal as a teacher this year is to develop fluent readers who love reading. I have added new fluency programs into my teaching to build student confidence and close the gap some of them have in reading due to online learning last school year. Giving my students the tools they need to do this will help us tremendously.
