Students at my school need a lot of help with developing appropriate social skills and character traits. They often struggle with identifying and managing their emotions in a school appropriate way. I am always looking for new, fun ways to teach them how to react more appropriately and develop those essential social skills. Young children learn wonderfully through their imagination. These interactive children’s books including "Enemy Pie" and "Wilma Jean - the Worry Machine" would encourage them to use their imagination, and teach them new coping skills and social skills that they need to succeed! Each of these books also has an interactive “game show” activity that I can utilize from Teachers Pay Teachers. Having these books would not only allow the students to hear and learn from the story book itself, but it would also give them the opportunity to learn from the fun interactive “game show” activity that matches each theme. This would teach them how to work together and use team work during this exciting classroom lesson! I know my students would enjoy this very much, and I truly feel that it will help them learn new social skills and improve their behavior in and outside of school. Your help is VERY much appreciated!
