Computers in the classroom make a huge difference for students with learning disabilities! These students are several grade-levels behind in their reading, writing, and math skills. We have access to wonderful resources provided by our school district, but we can not use them effectively without daily use and there is just not enough computer access in our school to allow this. Your donation will help these students by receiving three Chromebooks in order learn how to do online research for information to enhance their classroom assignments, allow them to access some great resources on the web to practice reading fluency and comprehension, give them tools to improve their math skills by accessing programs to teach them interactively how to use the math skills they learn in class, and many other programs offered through the State and District. Our society is based on computer literacy and our students need access to the equipment necessary to learn the skills that they will need to become better students now, in high school, and productive citizens in the future.
